First details for Fantasian are here

There were a few details that leaked out about the upcoming RPG from Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi and now we have a story trailer, a gameplay trailer and confirmation that the soundtrack for the game is being composed by celebrated Final Fantasy composer, Nobuo Uematsu.

If those visuals look insane for a mobile phone, that is because they are not done on a computer, at least the world, instead each of the 150-plus dioramas have been crafted by masters of the Japanese “Tokusatsu” or special effects industry. Creating Fantasian’s real-life miniature sets are veterans who have worked on projects like the Godzilla films, Attack on Titan, and Ultraman. Fantasian serves as a vehicle to bring these amazing works of art into the digital space via Apple Arcade.

There is more to the game than just a unique look, because Sakaguchi is tapping into his experience from the Final Fantasy franchise and is aiming to add to Fantasian several quality of life improvements to the classic Japanese RPG genre, such as the “Dimengeon Battle” mechanic, which allows players to send previously encountered enemies into a separate dimensional dungeon to streamline combat and maximize uninterrupted exploration of the beautiful locations.

Check out the features trailer below, to see the world and battle systems in action.

The game is launching soon into Apple Arcade, meaning you can enjoy it on your iPhone, iPad, Apple TV or Mac.
