Fallout 76 outlines the year ahead, including the first Expedition outside of Appalachia

Bethesda have announced the general plans for Fallout 76 for 2022, including when players can venture away from Appalachia and over to Pittsburgh. Check out the roadmap infographic below, with more details below that.

Of course the seasons on the infographic are backwards for us, so Spring is Autumn, which means sometime within the next few months, players will be able to take on aliens in Invaders From Beyond. This new event will feature all-new Public Events, and plenty of random encounters, many of which will be alien related, so be sure to squad up with friends, to avoid being labelled as the crazy guy. The game will also see a world update added that includes the ability to earn SCORE, plus the release of Season 8: A Better Life Underground!

For those who are not keen on venturing out in Winter, Test Your Metal will give you a reason to stay warm inside, until you get angry from the arena. This is not your average arena, no in this one, you will get dressed up in your best power armour, load your most dangerous weapons and then step into battle against deadly automatons. The update also includes upgrades to Fallout 1st scoreboard progression and a new Season.

Spring is the perfect season to leap out of Appalachia, as Expeditions: The Pitt will be released. Visit post-nuclear Pittsburgh and take on new Missions, engage with new NPCs, battle new foes and of course, earn new rewards. In addition to The Pitt, players can also look forward to a new Season to boot.

Finally in the Summer update, the Fizziest Show on Earth comes to Appalachia! Nuka World on Tour introduces a traveling roadshow making a stop in the area, toting along a new Season, Public Events and region boss! Step on up, you won’t want to miss out on the fun.

Once we start to get closer to the release of these updates, expect more details to be announced, but for now, there is still plenty to do in West Virginia.
