Extra details for Guardians of the Galaxy have been addressed
The reveal of a new Guardians of the Galaxy game was big news, but there was a video that many people missed yesterday, the Developer Featurette, but don’t worry, you can check that out below.
Apart from that though, there is one critical part of the game that many have not realised, the game is a single player experience, so there are no live services like Square Enix’s other Marvel game, but it gets even better.
It has been reported that there are no microtransactions or DLC for the game, meaning that what you buy on release day, which is October 26th, is all that you will get. Of course, that could change if the game proves to be a big success, but as of now, there is nothing coming.
That means you are Star-Lord and while you have other members of your team, you can only issue commands to them in combat, which means you will only play as Star-Lord.
"There isn't going to be any DLC for this game, there isn't going to be any microtransactions," Senior Narrative Director Mary DeMarle said, "and that's because, for us, it's very important that on day one, when players get this game, they can have access to everything there is about this game and experience it. So right off the bat, they can get all of the costumes or outfits that are available. They can find all the abilities as they progress through the game. It's all there."
The game is coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5
