Once Xbox, Nintendo, Ubisoft and Sega announced that they were not going to be attending E3 2023 themselves, with two of them having shows of their own at the same time though, the writing was on the wall and today E3 2023 was cancelled.

This is not surprising really, ReedPop might be masters at conventions, but they charge a lot for space within the venues they have and then try to recoup their costs via merch and such. The problem is that E3 was not that type of show and without big names to draw in paying ticket holders, it begged the question on how they could work.
