DOOM Eternal is teasing its upcoming DLC

DOOM Eternal feels like it only just released, though it was over a month ago, but the developers are not slowing down, detailing the first big patch that is to come, as well as teasing the upcoming DLC they are working on.

Starting with the patch, there are a host of fixes and balances that are planned for it, but in addition to those, there will be a few new goodies to discover, like Empowered Demons. Should you fall in your quest to destroy all of the demons, the one that killed you, will be sent to another game, more specifically another friends game. Not only will they appear there, they will be beefed up, meaning that if you encounter one, they should provide a real challenge and a chance for your to redeem a fallen slayer.

There are some quality of life options as well, including expanded demon tutorials, Dashing vertically in water and adjusting toxic damage while swimming, for the single player. While in Battlemode, some of these additions include implementing Denuvo Anticheat features, changes to the tutorial walkthrough, poor network connection indicators and more.

The full breakdown of what is planned for the first big patch, can be found here.

Now, let’s move onto DLC, there is not a lot of information, just a tease that the games official Twitter account posted, but it is enough to start the guesses. Check out the tweet below and the higher resolution art below that.

There is no word on when either the patch, or the DLC will come, meaning that both join the Switch release of the game, as that is still without a release date
