Disney Plus Day gave Pixar time to shine Luxo Jr onto their upcoming Disney Plus content
Disney Plus gave us looks at a range of content and Pete Doctor, the Chief Creative Officer at Pixar, also the lead director for Monsters Inc, Up, Inside Out and Soul, took viewers on a quick tour of the Pixar campus.
While there was nothing about their coming movies, we did learn there were some documentaries coming for them.
Cars on the Road
Larry the Cable Guy reveals the title of Pixar’s upcoming “Cars” series: “Cars on the Road.” Join Mater and Lightning McQueen in this fun-filled cross-country road trip streaming in 2022. Owen Wilson will join back in the cast as Lightning, which is welcome news.
Win or Lose
Directors Michael Yates and Carrie Hobson reveal concept art for Pixar’s first-ever original long-form animated series “Win or Lose,” coming to Disney+ in 2023. Each 20-minute episode of “Win or Lose” highlights the perspective of a different character as a middle school co-ed softball team prepares for their championship game.
Pixar Documentaries
Pete Docter also announced an exclusive peek behind the curtains of Pixar in two brand-new documentaries coming to Disney+ in 2022 that explore the making of “Turning Red” and “Lightyear.”
