Yes, the game has been given a new subtitle, ‘Starring Mickey and Friends’ as Scrooge McDuck is joining the action. This is not limited to the new platforms, the update with Scrooge will also come to Switch.
Disney Illusion Island Starring Mickey & Friends has players take off on exciting adventure as they run, jump, swim and swing their way through beautifully hand-drawn biomes in order to save the mysterious island of Monoth. Players can choose from Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy as they meet unlikely allies, defeat peculiar foes and uncover hidden secrets on a solo journey or with up to three friends.
We reviewed the game when it landed on Nintendo Switch and enjoyed it, though we had some issues. With luck this new update will correct a few things, but even if it doesn’t you should still play it. Revisiting is also an option as the game comes with the new C.A.S.H. mode.
C.A.S.H. or Cave Adventuring Scavenger Hunt, will send players back out into the world with the support of Scrooge McDuck, in order to find permanent upgrades for the main story. What upgrades these are, well we don’t know, but extra health would be an easy guess.
As for the release, the game is coming out on May 31st, with the update coming to Switch at the same time.
