Discover sounds in a new way, with the new Xbox Stereo Headset

Xbox are no stranger to accessories, they have released quite a few over the years, but it is only recently that they have started to get serious about the audio aspect of their console, usually leaving that up to others.

Today they have announced the Xbox Stereo Headset, a corded version of the headset that was released last year in a wireless capacity, pretty much the rest is the same, just now it comes with a cord attached.

Jessica Tsujikawa, Sr. Product Marketing Manager took to the Xbox News Wire to say:

“With the new Xbox Stereo Headset, we are bringing everything you expect from Xbox products like performance, stand-out features, quality, and accessibility to deliver immersive experiences across console, PC, and mobile devices. We also wanted to bring you more value to the entry-level headset category, including clear microphone performance, high-quality ear cushions, and a volume control dial on the right earcup.”

To generate the best possible experience across gaming, team chat, music, and movies, the team at Xbox tuned the headset to replicate the intended audio recording source that the creators wanted you to experience.

The result of this is hearing the audio as close as possible to how it was recorded, by ensuring clean mid & high frequency performance with strong bass. And to take your audio one step further, the Xbox Stereo Headset supports high-fidelity spatial sound technologies including Windows Sonic, Dolby Atmos, and DTS Headphone: X.

Of course, as the headset is connected via a 3.5mm cord, it can also be used on any other device, your PC, mobile, Switch, basically if your old headphones connect to it, so will this.

The headset can be ordered today, thought it won’t ship until next month, as it will officially go on sale on September 21st, but if you want order it direct from Xbox, you can do that here.
