Diablo IV has reached Earth via Milan Fashion week
In the world of games, there are cross promotions that make sense, like anytime a game does something with junk food. Then there are some promotions that just seem so random, that they can’t possibly be real and this one falls into that.
Blizzard have teamed up with Danish fashion designer Han Kjøbenhavn to create a series inspired by Diablo IV and as I am to fashion what cats are to videogames, I will let the official PR do the talking. This is how the collection was described:
Handcrafted and welted boots, chrome sculptures integrated into garments and dresses, ripped draping techniques and lightweight designed chrome eyewear directed the collection. Faux fur, vegan leather, feathers, and pearls are the dominating materials in the collection creating a raw, yet elegant feeling. The color scale strikes in tones of grey and black, with a soft touch of white and chrome to create a contrast complimented throughout the entire collection.
Looking at the outfits, I can see some chrome, but the rest is lost on me.
Before you rush to Kmart, Zara or any other place that sells clothes, just note that this collection was made only for Milan Fashion Week and will not be sold in any way. Of course, if the response is there, I could see some more functional outfits being designed, because let’s face it that last outfit would be a bit to much on a daily commute.
Diablo IV is set to release on June 6, but there is an open beta, as well as an early access weekend for it. All the details for both can be found here. The game itself will launch on PC, Xbox and PlayStation.
