Cyberpunk 2077 gets an update, fixes things and adds a lot of new content, some inspired by Edgerunners
Overnight CD Projekt Red hosted the first Night City Wire in quite a long time and contained within was a host of details, one specific one was that Cyberpunk 2077 has gotten an update bringing the game to version 1.6. Check out the trailer for it below.
With the anime set to launch next week, players can dress like the shows main character, with David Martinez’s Yellow Jacket being available now, as well as their shotgun.
Beyond a few new cosmetics, the update also brings the transmog system, or back in 2022 as its known the Wardrobe, which will now let players save six different outfits, letting you swap between them whenever you want, perfect for those who want to infiltrate at night, but look classy right after.
Something that is a bit of a surprise, but a welcome one, is that the update also includes cross-progression, which means that you can upload your progress to the cloud from one platform and download it to another one, letting you jump from platform to platform and not lose a thing.
For something a little more light-hearted, the update also comes the ability to play Roach Race at any of the arcade cabinets throughout Night City. This minigame stars the beloved figure of Roach as she gallops, jumps, and glitches through locations from The Witcher series of games in an endlessly scrolling 2D platformer. They have also released that on to mobile devices, should you wish to play on the go.
The update also brings new quests from fixers, new secrets to the city, Xbox Series S owners will have new details to see and a whole lot more, you can read the full patch notes here. You can also see a bunch of new screens for the game below.
