Cast your line as Bassmaster Fishing 2022 - Super Deluxe Edition is angling for Switch this week

Dovetail Games have announced that Bassmaster Fishing 2022 will cast onto Switch later this week, complete with the Deluxe Edition Upgrade Pack granting exclusive Deluxe B.A.S.S.® equipment and clothing, as well as four additional DLC bundles. Check out the trailer for it below.

Players who want to reel in a fishing experience with some real-life motion can do so on Switch, as the game supports motion controls using the Joy-Con, delivering maximum immersion as players feel every flick of their wrist as they cast their lines out into the bass-filled waters.

Players can choose one of the 10 officially licensed Bassmaster Elite Series anglers such as the title star Scott Martin or 2-time Bassmaster Classic Champion Hank Cherry, though the option to create their own custom character is here as well and you can then fish as yourself, as you make your way to becoming a pro.

“We’re thrilled to bring our authentic sports fishing experience to the Nintendo Switch,” said Jon Rissik, CEO of Dovetail Games, “Motion controls bring the fishing experience to a whole new level, and we can’t wait for players to jump in and play our first game released on a Nintendo platform!”

Bass fans will begin their careers in the College Series, mirroring where many professional bass anglers got their start, working their way up through Bassmaster Opens, Elite Series events, and eventually earning a spot in the coveted Bassmaster Classic. Anglers will be able to unlock and upgrade additional gear and boats as they progress through the Career Mode of the game to help them on their journey, and new customizable outfits for their characters to show off their personality in-game.

With all five DLC’s included, players have a wealth of cosmetic customizations and 11 real-world venues to fish, ranging from the largemouth hotspots of Chickamauga Lake to the dense backwaters of the Sabine River.

If that sounds a bit to slow and pedestrian for you, then you are in luck as the game is offering a new twist on the battle royale mode popular in many multiplayer games today, ‘Bassmaster Royale’. This game mode challenges anglers to be the last player fishing, competing against each other and the clock to avoid being eliminated. Multiplayer also includes ‘Freedom Fishing’ mode perfect for relaxing in a non-competitive mode with friends online.

Something to note though, the Switch system version requires Nintendo Switch Online and is not cross-play supported with other platforms.
