Bleak Sword DX is bringing the series to PC and Switch in 2023
Devolver Digital and developer more8bit have revealed that they are bringing Bleak Sword DX to PC and Switch later this year. The game was first released on Apple Arcade as Bleak Sword, but this new version refines some mechanics and adds in new content, check out the announcement trailer for it below.
Newly updated for PC and Switch, it expands on the Apple Arcade release by adding elegant controls, three new game modes, and multiple gameplay and graphical improvements.
Through twelve tense and deeply atmospheric chapters, you must lift the curse of the legendary Bleak Sword by striking down all manner of horrifying creatures across an oppressive world wielding fierce weaponry and powerful magic.
If that was not enough, the game now includes two new modes. First there is Randomizer, which throws players into a remixed version of the original game where levelling up or facing bosses in order is not guaranteed.
The second one is for those who like a real challenge and that is Boss Rush. Just like you would expect, this mode challenges players to face all 12 bosses back to back, with only one health bar.
For those keen to check it out, there is a demo on Steam now as part of Next Fest, but there is no date beyond 2023 for its full release.
