Biomutant is entering the next generation this September
THQ Nordic have announced that Biomutant, the action role playing game where you play as a mutant animal, will soon be getting the next gen treatment, with the game coming to Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 on September 6. Check out the new trailer for the game below.
As the game wasn’t made for the new hardware, the games are coming with a few different display methods, and thankfully THQ Nordic have provided the details on what each console can offer and you will find them below.
PlayStation 5 technical details:
Choose between three different graphic modes
Quality: 30 fps @ 4k resolution
Quality Unleashed: 40+ fps, averaging 50-60 fps, up to 4k resolution
Performance: 60 fps locked @ 1440p
Xbox Series S/X technical details:
On Xbox Series X, Biomutant offers native 4k resolution with up to 60 FPS, the Xbox Series S offers a 1440p resolution and up to 60 FPS as well.
These are the three different graphic modes:
Quality: 30 fps @ 4k resolution (1440p on Series S)
Quality Unleashed: 40+ fps, avg. 50-60 fps, up to 4k resolution (1440p on Series S)
Performance: 60 fps locked @ 1440p (1080p on Series S)
Both versions of the game will get free upgrades and if you have yet to finish the game, your save files will go with you, so you can keep playing.
When the game first released, we did review it, but had some issues with the game and thankfully many of those appear to have been fixed with updates from the developers, so it might be worth giving it another go if you stopped early on.
