Become a real space pirate when Marauders launches into early access later this year

Developer Small Impact Games and indie icon Team17 have announced that they are working together, in order to bring Marauders to PC via Steam and Xbox players this year, when the game launches by each platforms early access window, check out the game reveal trailer below.

Players will be able to play solo or in squads of up to four and equip gear and weapons to increase their chances of survival while embarking on daring raids among the stars. Should they make it out alive, they’ll be able to use their haul in further matches, put those resources scavenged toward upgrading their ship, or sell everything for a tidy profit.

Players will find a gritty sci-fi world, where the Earth is at the edge of destruction and in order the survive, humans have to take to looting and shooting among the stars. You and your crew will raid battleground from across the far reaches of space, but if you want to get paid, you have to make it out alive and with the loot of course.

After each run, you can keep the gear you claimed and head back in for more, which can mean you get modifications for your weapons or armour, and then can earn more XP to unlock new items, to improve your chances on the next run.

The game is coming to PC via Steam and Xbox via Game Preview, but there is no word on other platforms at this stage.
