Bayonetta 3 is still alive, with the first gameplay trailer revealed via the latest Nintendo Direct

Being the end game for any presentation is a hard ask, there are expectations to be great, as you are that one last thing, but being 3 years and 9 months between showings and those expectations become astronomical. Check out the first gameplay trailer for Bayonetta 3.

Outside of that trailer, there isn’t a lot more to talk about as Nintendo are being really coy on it, even the official press release doesn’t offer up anything special.

That being said, over on the Platinum Games website, you can read a blog post from Kamiya Hideki and Miyata Yusuke, the games director, about character design, expectations and more.

Right now the game is set for a 2022 release, but as for when, there is nothing more narrow than that.
