Avengers Campus is open to guests at Disney California Adventure

Marvel has been slowly appearing in Disney Parks around the world, Hong Kong has the Iron Man and Ant-Man and the Wasp rides, Paris as the Hotel New York featuring Marvel and Walt Disney World is getting a Guardians of the Galaxy rollercoaster, but in California the Avengers have landed… big time.

The first three Avengers Campus’ are opening in Disney California Adventure Park and will feature the first Spider-man attraction created by Walt Disney Imagineering, along with the Pym Test Kitchen - where you can get a half kilo pretzel and you can of course encounter many Marvel heroes, as well as a villain or two.

“On behalf of our Cast of Super Heroes, I couldn’t be more excited to welcome our guests to this epic new land,” said Ken Potrock, president of the Disneyland Resort. “Just as Avengers come together for the common good, the Disneyland Resort is ready to power up with Anaheim and Southern California to drive tourism, rebuild businesses and strengthen our communities.”

Disney Parks, Experiences and Products Chairman Josh D’Amaro and Marvel Studios President/Marvel Chief Creative Officer Kevin Feige, were on hand to showcase the land, complete with a virtual tour before the grand opening of it.

Marvel stars from movies past and those yet to be released were experiencing the land as well, with Simu Liu from the upcoming Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Brie Larson, Zoe Saldana, Paul Rudd and Anthony Mackie all on hand. The man who kick started the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Jon Favreau was also on hand, taking up the high ground, before introducing all the heroes.

Alongside the Spider-man right, visitors to the campus can also encounter Dr Strange, enjoy some Shawarma and visit the Tivan Collection, where the Guardians of the Galaxy reside as part of the museum.

Of course, you will also encounter the Avengers, as they make their way around the campus, who knows, you might even see Spider-man web through the air.
