Atomfall drops a gameplay overview trailer ahead of its release

Rebellion have released a new gameplay overview trailer for Atomfall, their upcoming title where players will need to survive in a familiar, yet alien place.

Atomfall is inspired by the real-life events of the 1957 Windscale disaster. The begins five years later in a fictionalized quarantine zone that includes rolling, valleys, caves, and even a picturesque English village.

However, this idyllic postcard setting conceals a treacherous terrain and a dark mystery. To uncover the truth of what transpired at Windscale, players must traverse military encampments, explore abandoned underground bunkers, and brave the dangers of Pagan ruins. A reliable metal detector will also aid in a few secrets buried beneath the surface!

At the core of the dark mystery lie the eccentric characters and cryptic organizations that inhabit the quarantine zone. These individuals have been isolated from the outside world for and left to their own devices, resulting in anything but normal behaviour. Your interactions with them are crucial and will shape your journey. However, be cautious, as not all of them are friendly, and you will need to familiarize yourself with an array of ranged and melee weapons to survive.

Check out the overview trailer below.

As for when you can enjoy the game? It will arrive on March 27th for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S
