Assassin's Creed Valhalla will release a week earlier than previously planned

Ubisoft have announced that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, the latest entry in the long running series, will no longer release on November 17 and instead release on November 10 for Xbox One, PC and PlayStation 4. It will also release on the same day for Xbox Series X, now that the console has been dated, though still no word on the PlayStation 5 release.

“We are excited to announce that players will be able to discover Assassin’s Creed Valhalla sooner than expected! We cannot wait to see the world we’ve been creating over the past three years coming to life on all platforms, including on the next generation of consoles with the Xbox Series X | S on November 10.” said Julien Laferrière, Producer on Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

If you are not planning on getting the new consoles this year, if the PlayStation 5 releases here, you will be happy to know that you can start on the current generation and then you will get the next generation copy of the game for free, on the same family of devices.

The only downside is that if you get the game at retail, as in on a disc and you get the Xbox Series S or the All Digital PlayStation 5, you will NOT get the free upgrade, as you must have the disc in your machine to even play the game still.
