Acer unveiled a trio of new monitors at CES 2020

CES 2020 is over for the year, but there are still a few final things to talk about, one of which is that Acer are bringing a trio of monitors to Australia in 2020, the first coming in April. The three screens are all what Acer consider to be premium and they look it as well.

“Acer has gone big with its premium Predator gaming monitors, offering expansive views with cutting-edge technologies that support true-to-life gameplay, even with the most demanding of titles,” said Victor Chien, President, Digital Display Business, Acer Inc. “We support gamers of all types from novices to professionals with some of the best performing gaming hardware on the market.”

The Predator X38 Gaming Monitor, shown above is out in April and for the low price of $2,999 you will get a monitor that is UWQHD+, meaning the resolution is 3840 x 1600, across a screen size of 37.5 inches, oh and its curved. Being that the screen has a nice curve to it, the shape of the curve is important and it is a nice 2300R, which will give you a large viewing angle. To help further the viewing comfort, the ergonomic stand lets gamers adjust the monitor to find their optimum viewing position with -5 to 35 degree tilt, +/- 30 degree swivel and 5.11-inch height adjustment. HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.4 connect to a wide variety of systems, while four USB 3.0 ports offer fast connectivity to peripherals and devices. The monitor also comes with two 7W speakers that deliver quality 14W audio.

Next up is the Predator X32 Gaming Monitor, this 32 inch screen is a UHD with a resolution of 3840 x 2160, and built on a 1152 zone local dimming mini LED panel. The panel will refresh at 144Hz, giving you smooth action, no matter what you play on it. The viewing able is also considerable, so it will work just as well as a second screen as a main. Three HDMI 2.0 ports and DisplayPort 1.4 make connecting other PCs a cinch and four USB 3.0 ports make a convenient hub for connecting gaming sticks, mice and more. It also comes with two 4W stereo speakers. There is no price or release date for here yet.

Finally, we have the mack daddy the Predator CG552K Gaming Monitor, a whopping 55 inch monitor, yes monitor, not TV. Packed with 4K and an a pair of sensors, one light sensor that detects the room’s light level and automatically adjusts brightness to optimize visual comfort. The other is a proximity sensor, the Predator CG552K is able to detect if someone is within range, waking up when they’re close and entering a power-saving mode when they leave the area.

Just like the 32in screen, there is no price or date for this one yet.
