Acer have unveiled new additions to their Predator line, complete with the latest tech

Acer have unveiled a new line up of gaming laptops in their Predator range, that brings together the updates from Intel and NVIDIA, into form factors that deliver on many fronts.

First up is the refreshed Predator Helios Neo 16 or if you call it via its code name the PHN16-71. This laptop is designed to give players performance, but at a more affordable price point. The various options here will all come with the high-performance 13th Gen Intel Core HX processors and then paired with up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop graphics card. Plus with up to 32 GB of dual-channel DDR5-4800 MHz RAM and up to a 2 TB PCIe NVMe SSD in RAID 0 deliver lightning-fast load times in the most demanding games.

Choice for screens is a big part of the laptop and here you have the choice of a WQXGA (2560x1600) IPS display at 165 Hz and 3 ms response time and a WUXGA (1920x1200) display with a 165 Hz refresh rate.

The laptop is available now and starts at $2,999 depending on specs you desire.

If you want all the power, then the Predator Triton 17 X, also known as the PTX17-71, might just be the machine for you. Contained within its solid metal CNC unibody case lies a 13th Gen Intel Core i9-13900HX processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 GPU.

You might think that the insides so far are not to different from the model above, and you would be right, except this one has more going on. The 13th Gen Intel Core i9 processor with new performance hybrid architecture features up to 24 cores at a 5.4 GHz max turbo frequency, delivering the ultimate mobile gaming experience. In addition it can be configured with up to 64 GB DDR5 5600 Hz memory and up to 4 TB PCIe solid state drives in RAID 0.

For those display aficionados there is a 17-inch (16:10), which can be a WQXGA mini-LED (AmLED) display that clocks a blazing 250 Hz refresh rate. Plus with Acer’s 5th generation AeroBlade 3D Fans for cooling, Intel Killer Wi-Fi 6E AX1690i and Thunderbolt 4 support, it will have you gaming in any configuration you can imagine and remaining cool while you do.

Finally, let us talk about the Predator Helios 3D 15, a gaming laptop that offers up 3D visuals, no matter where you are. Spec wise it includes a 13th Gen Intel Core i9-13900HX Processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTXTM 4080 Laptop GPU, but the main draw is the 3D display.

The Predator Helios 3D 15 utilises the combination of the SpatialLabs eye-tracking solution, stereoscopic 3D display, and real-time scene rendering technologies to bring eye-popping 3D scenes, objects, and characters to life in its 15.6-inch display, all without the need for any glasses, so its a laptop version of a Nintendo 3DS.
