A beloved Wii U game finally comes to Switch as Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition is announced

For the longest time fans have hoped a few Wii U games are brought over to Switch and there were three at the top of the list and now one of them is coming. Nintendo have announced that Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition will arrive on March 20. A trailer for the game has been released.

The Switch release of the game will come with enhanced visuals and a new story, though details on what the story additions will be are unknown.

In this game, players are thrust into the heart of a standalone sci-fi adventure. You have the freedom to tailor your avatar's appearance and class, selecting from an extensive array of options within a rich battle system that can be as intricate as you desire. After demonstrating your prowess to the BLADE organization, you'll gain access to a formidable Skell—a colossal, customisable mech designed for both exploration and combat, ready to accompany you on your epic journeys across Mira.

As you dive into the reconstruction efforts, you'll immerse yourself in the lives of NLA's residents, assist them with their challenges, and foster relationships with your party members. This bonding unlocks special quests that yield rare gear and coveted rewards. Additionally, team up with an online squad to tackle multiplayer missions, featuring the formidable Global Nemesis Battles! You also have the opportunity to enlist other players' avatars into your main story team.

Given the games March 20 release date, there is likely to be a while until we hear more on the game.
