The Blizzard and Red Cross partnership is set to save many lives

Blizzard made their debut at PAX Australia this year and were showing off Diablo 3 Eternal Collection on Switch at the Nintendo booth, but they also took over the handheld lounge.

Why do that, well it is simple they partnered with Red Cross Australia in raising awareness for blood donations and it seems that gamers agreed as, it has been confirmed to be the largest single event of registrations that the Red Cross has had. With 576 people registering to donate, that means about 1700 lives will be saved by the donations, which is a staggering amount.

Sam Bartlett, Marketing Director at the Australian Red Cross Blood Service, said the result will help drive future donations and raise awareness for the vital work conducted by the Blood Service.

“We’re thrilled with the response and generosity of the Australian gaming community. This outstanding effort has helped us continue our life-giving work, and ensures blood products are available for all Australians when they need it. Thank you to those who raised their hand to be a hero to someone in need,” said Bartlett.

If you want to become a donor, you can do so at anytime, but if you want to set up a time, you can do that here and be sure to select PAX2018 when you do.
