Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery spells together an impressive cast and a release date
Warner Bros Interactive and Jam City have announced that Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery will be releasing on iOS and Android on April 25th and the game will feature some familiar voices.
When players start exploring Hogwarts and attending classes, they will interact with the various professors and some of the actors and actresses from the films are returning. Transfiguration will be taught by Dame Maggie Smith herself as Professor McGonagall, where as if you break any rules and are sent to the headmasters office, you will get to hear Michael Gambon as Professor Dumbledore.
“If I could attend Hogwarts as a student, I would be most excited to attend the potions class taught by Severus because it is the most exotic,” said Dame Maggie Smith, voice of Professor McGonagall.
In addition, Warwick Davis (Professor Flitwick), Sally Mortemore (Madam Irma Pince), Gemma Jones (Madam Pomfrey) and Zoe Wanamaker (Madam Hooch) are also reprising their roles.
"Our goal with Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is to make players really feel for the first time like they’re attending Hogwarts,” said Chris DeWolfe, co-founder and CEO of Jam City. “By including these iconic and incredibly talented actors in the game, we come one step closer to truly giving fans their own Hogwarts experience.”
The game was playable earlier this year at the Harry Potter Celebration at Universal Studios Orlando, where members of the films cast, including the Phelps brothers, James and Oliver and Stanislav Ianevski gave it a go, check out fan reactions below.
The game is out April 25 and you can register your interest now on the official site.
