Nintendo Australia Switch Event Photos
Nintendo Australia have kicked off the local Switch push with events behind closed doors for selected media and fans and I was lucky enough to be invited to the media event, which happened 24 hours after the massive broadcast from Tokyo. While my hands on impressions of the event will appear soon, I wanted to share some photos that I took there.
1 2 Switch is perhaps the best game that can explain why the JoyCon is the way it is, here are a few shots of people getting lost in fun of playing some of the various mini games that come packed in with it.
Splatoon 2 was also on show, with two different play method on offer, TV mode and Handheld mode.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe was also playable, with all three play styles being offered, TV mode, Handheld and Tabletop mode.
ARMS, the frantic fighting game was also playable and they had a few stations set up for it, a lot of open space for this section though, which makes sense, you would not want to punch someone by accident.
The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild was also playable and it was in a very nice booth, complete with a replica of the Master Sword.
SniperClips is a digital only title and it was also playable and peopled loved it, in fact I don't recall a single person who walked away from it having anything bad to say about it.
Finally, in addition to the Nintendo games, there were a host of 3rd party titles for play as well, Skylanders Imaginators, FAST rmx, Ultra Street Fighter II, Disgaea 5 Complete, Has-Been Heroes, Just Dance 2017 and Super Bomberman R.
