Mario Kart 8 Is Set To Defy Gravity Even Further With The Upcoming DLC and Patch
Nintendo Australia has released details for the upcoming second DLC pack for Mario Kart 8 and man does it look fun.
First of all, we know that Animal Crossing is making its debut in Mario Kart, thanks to the Nintendo Direct earlier this month. There we got our first look at the Animal Crossing themed course, which will randomly select a season each time you play it, except in time attack, it will always be summer. We also got a look at the characters from Animal Crossing you can play as, Villager and Isabel, we now have our first look at the female variant for Village and Dry Bowser, which rounds out the characters.
Next we got all remaining 7 courses named and which cups they will fall into. First up is the Crossing Cup.
First up we get returning tracks Baby Park, from Mario Kart Double Dash on the Gamecube, Cheese Land from Mario Kart Super Circuit on Game Boy Advance and the new courses, Wild Woods and Animal Crossing.
The second cup we get is Bell Cup and again offers a split between 2 retro courses and 2 new ones, the first retro course is Neo Bowser City from Mario Kart 7 on Nintendo 3DS, with the second being Ribbon Road again from Super Circuit. The two new courses are Super Bell Subway and Big Blue, the latter being a remastering of an F-Zero track, just like Mute City was in the first DLC pack.
Along with 2 new karts and 2 new bikes, the pack is loaded with content, but if you are not someone who has the money to buy the pack, the day this releases the game will also get a new update. This update will unlock the all new 200cc mode for Grand Prix (after completing all 150cc cups with a gold trophy), VS Race, and Online as well as give players the chance to unlock 9 amiibo characters unlocking Mii racing suits: Wario, PAC-MAN, Olimar, Bowser, Sonic, Toad, Villager, Rosalina and Mega Man.
