SteelSeries is bringing their Arctis Nova Pro back, but this time in White

SteelSeries have been refining their headset range for a few years now and almost every time they release a new one, it somehow feels leaps beyond what came before. Which is why the Arctis Nova Pro is such a good headset, its one of the best they have ever made and now its even better.

Ok, so the core of the Arctis Nova Pro White is mostly the same as what was released in the Arctis Nova Pro Black, but there are a few big changes. The first big addition is the Infinity Power System, which is incorrectly named, but still loaded with potential. The new system actually removes the permanent battery that most wireless headsets have installed and instead opts for a pair of batteries, that can be swapped out at any time. That means once your battery gets low, you won’t need to stop gaming or worse run a long power cord up the side to it, instead you just swap out the battery. Plus with each battery offering up 22 hours of charge, that means you can game for almost 2 full days, without any major interruptions, life not withstanding.

Extended gaming is great, but not if you can’t wear the headset, which is where the ComfortMAX System comes into play. This design means that any size head can wear the headset and as someone with a fat head, I can attest to the SteelSeries being insanely comfortable. It isn’t just something simple like a loser headband, but rather the headset will offer up 4-points of adjustment. Couple that with height-adjustable, rotating ear cups, a flexible tension band, pivoting hangers, and a premium PVD-coated steel band that ensures long-term durability, you get one comfy headset.

Something that other headsets in the Arctis Nova line up had before is the GameDAC, which lets you do adjustments to your audio levels without needing to pause your game. This time its been updated to for USB switching between multiple devices at the same time. What that means is that you can seamlessly swap between a PC, PlayStation, Switch, or mobile device with the press of a button, and without having to swap cables.

The above somewhat ties into the following, where the headset also offers the Game & Mobile Audio swapping mode. There are not many headsets that offer up the dual audio input, but this one does and what it means is that you can have two audio connections at the same time, engaging with friends over the phone while gaming on a PC or console. The powerful 2.4GHz wireless is perfect for earning that in-game hot streak while using Bluetooth for calls, Discord, music, or podcasts.

As for picking them up, you can order now direct from SteelSeries, but selected retailers will start offering them up soon. I say them as there are two models, one for Xbox and one for PlayStation. The feature set is identical to both, but each headset has been tweaked for each console, so the Xbox one works best on Xbox.

The headsets will work on PC, Switch, PlayStation, Xbox and Mobile devices, no matter which one you get, but if you are a PlayStation gamer, getting the one tuned for your hardware would be the best choice. As for the price, the RRP for both is $735 AUD.
